Are you interested in making a quilt? Then join our class with experienced teachers Lori and Carolyn who will guide you through the entire process. While basic sewing knowledge is helpful, it's not required. You'll learn about fabric selection, cutting, piecing, pressing, sewing tips, layering your quilt, quilting, and binding. Topics include cutting with scissors and rotary cutters, stitch settings, and seam allowances, piecing, pressing, trimming, and preparing for quilting, layering your quilt, quilting options, quilting on your domestic machine, and trimming for final binding. You'll also explore different binding options.

Dates: Four weeks, Monday evenings, 5:30 – 8:00pm (August 5, August 12, August 19). August 26th will be a makeup class.

Sewing machine is in good working order.
At least 2 bobbins for your machine
Machine needles, Microtex 80/12 or 70/10
Fabric scissors
Straight pins
Seam ripper
Coordinating machine thread (quilting 50wt)
